for Life© Holiday Hot Chocolate with Minted White Chocolate Wreath
When
Hot chocolate gets bumped up a notch as a special way of taking the chill off our frosty days. A great winter hot drink or a special Christmas treat.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Quantity: 4 Servings
Ingredients:
8 ounces (250 grams) of white (melting) chocolate, melted over a pot of simmering water
2 peppermint flavored large candy canes, crushed and placed into a wide mouthed bowl
10 cups (1.5 L) of your favorite hot chocolate mix, prepared hot
1 cup (250 ml) whipped cream
1/4 cup (65 ml) powdered cocoa
Method:
1. Dip the rim of each of 4 mugs, first in the melted white chocolate then in the crushed candy canes, coating the white chocolate in bits of peppermint candy
2. Carefully pour 10 ounces (375 ml) of prepared hot chocolate mix into each chocolate-candy rimmed mug
3. Place 1/4 cup (65 ml) of whipped cream in the center of each hot chocolate filled mug
4. Sprinkle whipped cream with powdered cocoa
