for Life© Smoked Turkey Burgers
Seasoned with just a hint of smoky flavor, these Smoked Turkey Burgers are a welcome change to Friday nigh dinner. Juicy burgers are perfect to enjoy with family and friends at a weekend barbeque.

minutes (marinating time 8 – 24 hours refrigerated)
Cooking Time: About 6 minutes on each side and internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F or 80 degrees C

Ingredients:
1.97 lbs (985 grams) ground lean turkey meat
1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked sea salt
¼ teaspoon (1.25 ml) mesquite liquid smoke flavor enhancer
1 tablespoonful (15ml) dried rosemary, crushed
2 (2) large eggs cracked into a small bowl and mixed together lightly
Method:
Put all ingredients in a large bowl
Mix well with a large serving spoon
Measure out scant ½ cup (125ml) measure for each burger
Shape each burger into a patty sized 31/2 inch diameter x ½ inch (9 cm x 5cm) thick
Layer patties on a plate with waxed paper between each layer
Cover with plastic wrap
Refrigerate for up to 4 hours
Heat grill to medium heat
Grill patties until center of patty is no longer pink inside and internal temperature reaches
180 degrees F or 80 degrees C.
Serve on toasted wholewheat buns with your favorite toppings for delicious lowcost gourmet
taste.
*Note: These turkey burgers freeze well.
